I folded diagonally across a square card, mounted web paper then put spiderman sticker onto some acetate first and part stuck him over the fold. Effective I thought! The stickers and papers are from Sanylion.

Good evening

Thankfully my back is on the mend so today Iv'e been out in my workroom and had a little sort out of my pile of ex class cards, some to go to charity and some to give away for birthdays. Also in my basket I found an old folded base card that wasn't used for a class in the end and some odd bits and pieces so I decided to mix them together and complete a card.
If I remember the backing paper was from Sandylion and then I added the Sizzix die cut (Swirls) that I found laying around with a quickie glue pen. The pink and white mount was also tucked in a box of bits which matched perfectly, all I had to do then was cut around my Tilda and stick her and the roses to the card. Hey Presto!! If only it was that easy when I needed a card quick!

Sweet Birthday

Hi There,
Thought you might like to see this card Iv'e made for my mother-in-law. She loves purples!
In the shop this week I have been telling people about this new cuttlebug folder I got called "Wen's Window" and how they could use it (Jenny). Anyway I was itching to play with it myself so I thought I could use it on mums card.
I used an A5 folded card which is outside my comfort zone as I usually like to use square cards. First I cut a piece of Wisteria cordination card and embossed the window (Wen's Window) . I sanded the frame to highlight it then took a piece of plain smooth white card and embossed that with the butterfly (Jules Jewells) cuttlebug folder. I coloured the embossing with chalks and trimmed down to fit the inside of the frame. Then cut a piece of Purple pansy cordination card for the background layer and punched the bottom with Marther Stewart edger (Floral Band).I found a ribbon to match and Tied around before sticking down to the card. Next I coloured my new Magnolia Stamp (Noble Tilda) with Promarkers, cut her out and mounted onto the card with 3D foam pads. I added a little diamond stickles to the butterflies for effect, stamped the sentiment and added Glitteratti dots to finish. I was rather pleased with the finish. The window would also look great embossed on Mirri card with the center cut out and have acetate put behind for a shaker effect. OOOO or maybe do a white on white effect or vintage with Distress Inks. Well I think i'm off to play some more!!!!

Good Morning, Good Friday

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I have not posted for a couple of days as my laptop decided to play games and not work properly. Any way i'm back now.Talking of backs my back has also decided it wants to play up on me on Thursday morning.  I did manage to get into work though and with a little careful monouvring throughout I got through the day. I am still learning to put things on my blog so please bare with me but I do know how to post and add pictures so far.So let me show you the three cards that I taught at in2crafting.co.uk this week. The class was Fancy Florals and we do still have spaces, so hurry to book if you would like to have a go.
This first one as you can see was the inspiration for my two Mothers Day cards but I used single sided pearl card instead of cordination card to double emboss the background.I cut the roses using a 2" woodware six petaled punch. I also daubered Memento Grape Jelly ink on the edges of the petals to give a more shaded appearance.
Oh I just love the flowers and the cow stamp on this card, infact I just love this card! The border at the bottom is made from one of four designs from the Marianne "Createables" range with some gold ribbon threaded through. The background paper is from the Basic Grey Wisteria range "Finch". The three different flowers are all from the Marianne "Createables" Flowers . I daubered Topaz Versacolor ink on the edge of the petals to bring them to life and then popped a steamon in the middle and an amber gem. The cow stamp was a Nellie Snellen design which I coloured with Pro marker pens.
These medallion flowers are really clever because you use the round Nellie Frames Cut and Emboss dies to create  them. I cut two of each size first then took one circle of each and folded/creased down the centre of each of the petals. Then I cut half way down inbetween each petal, then pinch the folded petal and lift upwards to create the shape. Using PVA glue I stuck the newly shaped petals ontop of the flat shape to make the flowers. The centre was punched from a circle punch and embossed on a soft mat to create dimension. I hope you like these cards and feel inspired to have a go yourself. Hugs Di xx
