#9 - I Can See Clearly

Hello to you all,
Cor... isn't this weather great! I have been out in my garden doing all sorts of planting and digging. Also I have got myself a little part time job at a bakers. So I have been working too.
Anyway here is a little card I have just made for Lynnes new challenge over at
The theme is I Can See Clearly

I did have some fun as I haven't used acetate for ages in a card.
The digi images are from our sponsor - Whimsie Doodles
I used a thick acetate to create the folded card so it didn't go floppy. When sticking the tent image to the inside of the card I mounted it firstly to a piece of yellow card an stuck it to the card. Then cut a red piece a little bigger and turned the card over and stuck that to the back, thus stopping the tape showing through from the other side. I used my Promarkers to colour all the images. The sentiment is one of Lynnes which I just cut out with a 2" Woodware oval punch and coloured.
So go on.... and get your acetate out today and make a card for our challenge, the effect is great fun!

I hope you like and have a go yourself.

Quick In-Law Birthday Card

Hiya

Even though I have lost my mojo lately, I have had fun making these cards in a rush.... story of my life really !
Well not only did I make the last two cards on sunday morning in a rush....... I had to make another card for my Mother-in-laws birthday. So I made this one on Tuesday morning, two hours before delivering it.

I used this lovely Basic Grey Paper as a base then stamped the boy (Whiff Of Joy ) and masked him up. I then stamped the watering  ( Magnolia) can over the top. I coloured the images with my Promarkers keeping the colours simple to match the patterned paper... then used a blue wax pencil to shade around the outside and Odourless Spirit to blend. I think it gives a warmer feel and no need for a background.
The sentiment is a digi from Sentiments 4 You distressed with Tim Holtz - Stormy Sky ink. I found some lovely buttons in my stash... so I threaded with string and added to the card. The image is stamped on Spellbindes Labels 10 and cutting out without cutting his head off.
Mum in law loved it and I love her.

Mothers Day 2

Morning Campers!
Today I have the second card I made for Mothers day which was for Hubby's Mum. I love my In-Laws although not alot of people can say that of theirs. So I did enjoy making this card for her.

As you can see I had a little problem with matching the Martha Stewart punch up down the side of the card but I think I got away with it! Some of my old friends would probably laugh and say " Ha Ha...she does make mistakes after all!" Anyway the background flowers are from a Penny Black stamp I have had for a long time and thought it went well with my magnolia as she was holding a basket of flowers that looked the same. I coloured them all with my Promarkers and then embossed the dots along the bottom with my cuttlebug. This was quite a simple but effective card to do and handy too considering I was making it just before going out the door to deliver it! Anyway Mother In-Law was thrilled with it and I don't think she noticed the mistake...or if she did she was a dear not to mension it!
What do you think?

Mothers Day

Helloooo
I have not been crafting properly for a little while now as I have lost my mojo. But saying that when I have got to do a birthday card or something I always manage to to muster up some energy. So as yesterday was Mothers day I got up very early and made one for my mum and one for Hubby's. Today I will show you the one I made for my mum. I am also entering it into
Creative Inspirations #56/ Mothers day/ Mum
FabnFunky Challenge #66 Shabby Chic

As I am the middle child of three girls I thought of using my gorgeous girl stamps to create that special card for my mum. I coloured them with my Promarkers.. cut them out and assembled them on another piece of card that I had distressed with Spun Sugar ink. I also used the same ink around the patterned paper and glittered. The sentiment is one of Lynnes digis from Sentiments 4 You.
I managed to get this and another card done just before delivering them so it didn't take too long to make. Mum loves it when I make her cards and I saw a tear in her eye as she read the words inside that I had made up from my Versa printer CD.
I hope you like and get a little inspiration yourself.
