Monochrome

Hiyaaaa!
Well I have been busy busy busy! I really am getting my mojo back and enjoying making cards again. This time I have made a card for my DT over at DO IT WITH DIGI'S.
I really had fun as I haven't made a stepper card for such a long time as well as colouring in with one colour. I would normally be tempted to make the card in brown tones but I thought this time I would have a go at greys!

Another Challenge begins - thank you to everyone who took part last time :)

The theme this time is:

MONOCHROMATIC

we want to see shades of one colour only (with the exceptions of hair and flesh)

this time we are sponsored by

CRAFTS 4 YOU

The winner of this challenge will get a free membership to my Lynnes web shop entitling you to 10% of every order and be in with the chance of winning prize draws and having access to "Members Only" events where you will receive special offers
So go on and have a go today!

As you can see I used a Kenny K Download Digi image. I coloured in with the Cool Grey's Promarkers and the flowers and leaves were cut from a Marianne Creatables Die, LR0162, brought at Crafts 4 You. The sentiment is from a set of digi sentiments from Sentiments 4 You
I would also like to enter into

I love Promarkers #71 Anything goes

I hope you like. See you soon.

Today I have a DT card for our challenge over at Do It With Digis and the theme is All About The boys
The image is from Di's Digi Downloads who is our sponsor this week and I just had to colour him in with the West Ham colours.I kept the layout simple as the background paper is busy enough. The sentiment is a stamp from Personal impressions. Pop on over to the blog and check out what other lovely creations the DT have come up with.

Mollies Birthday

Hellooooo
Today I have a card that I have made for my little niece who is seven on the saturday 21st of May. Mollie loves Pink, loves anything sparkly and loves their little dog Poppy who looked like this cutie. Sadley the dog has since gone to be with nanny Beryl in heaven, but I think she will love to see a picture of her on her card as she is always talking about her.

Any way I also would like to enter this card into some challenges

Quick In-Law Birthday Card

Hiya

Even though I have lost my mojo lately, I have had fun making these cards in a rush.... story of my life really !
Well not only did I make the last two cards on sunday morning in a rush....... I had to make another card for my Mother-in-laws birthday. So I made this one on Tuesday morning, two hours before delivering it.

I used this lovely Basic Grey Paper as a base then stamped the boy (Whiff Of Joy ) and masked him up. I then stamped the watering  ( Magnolia) can over the top. I coloured the images with my Promarkers keeping the colours simple to match the patterned paper... then used a blue wax pencil to shade around the outside and Odourless Spirit to blend. I think it gives a warmer feel and no need for a background.
The sentiment is a digi from Sentiments 4 You distressed with Tim Holtz - Stormy Sky ink. I found some lovely buttons in my stash... so I threaded with string and added to the card. The image is stamped on Spellbindes Labels 10 and cutting out without cutting his head off.
Mum in law loved it and I love her.

Mothers Day 2

Morning Campers!
Today I have the second card I made for Mothers day which was for Hubby's Mum. I love my In-Laws although not alot of people can say that of theirs. So I did enjoy making this card for her.

As you can see I had a little problem with matching the Martha Stewart punch up down the side of the card but I think I got away with it! Some of my old friends would probably laugh and say " Ha Ha...she does make mistakes after all!" Anyway the background flowers are from a Penny Black stamp I have had for a long time and thought it went well with my magnolia as she was holding a basket of flowers that looked the same. I coloured them all with my Promarkers and then embossed the dots along the bottom with my cuttlebug. This was quite a simple but effective card to do and handy too considering I was making it just before going out the door to deliver it! Anyway Mother In-Law was thrilled with it and I don't think she noticed the mistake...or if she did she was a dear not to mension it!
What do you think?

Mothers Day

Helloooo
I have not been crafting properly for a little while now as I have lost my mojo. But saying that when I have got to do a birthday card or something I always manage to to muster up some energy. So as yesterday was Mothers day I got up very early and made one for my mum and one for Hubby's. Today I will show you the one I made for my mum. I am also entering it into
Creative Inspirations #56/ Mothers day/ Mum
FabnFunky Challenge #66 Shabby Chic

As I am the middle child of three girls I thought of using my gorgeous girl stamps to create that special card for my mum. I coloured them with my Promarkers.. cut them out and assembled them on another piece of card that I had distressed with Spun Sugar ink. I also used the same ink around the patterned paper and glittered. The sentiment is one of Lynnes digis from Sentiments 4 You.
I managed to get this and another card done just before delivering them so it didn't take too long to make. Mum loves it when I make her cards and I saw a tear in her eye as she read the words inside that I had made up from my Versa printer CD.
I hope you like and get a little inspiration yourself.

Valentines

Hello there,
Just thought I would show you a card I made for Do It With Digi's the Digi Divas Challenge for February - Valentines.

The image is a digital from Mo Mannings and is coloured with Promarkers and the Sentiment is one of Lynne's from - Sentiments For You. I cut a strip of card around the printed sentiment and trimmed off triangles to look like a tag, then made another one to lay opposite and distressed with Vintage Photo. Not sure where the red backing paper came from as I have had it in my stash for a long time.
Hope you like xx

In2crafting Challenge

Hiya all,
I have been busy playing around with ideas for my Nestability workshop that's coming up soon and realised I needed to get my November challenge card done for the shop I work at - In2crafting - Wickford.
The challenge is a sketch and the theme is circles. If your up for a great challenge too please feel free to join in and send your card into the blog or pop in to the shop.

For the background I used a cuttlebug folder - Carmello and distressed it with Worn Lipstick. Did the same on the Large scalloped and plain circles but also added Antique Linen. I stamped the Travelling Tilda with Black Memento ink and coloured her with Promarkers. I then used my white gel pen to add dots on her dress. The sentiment is from a set from Personal impressions. The paper flowers and gems are from Design Objectives.
