Inspired card

Hiya
isn't it a glorious day outside, I just got back from my job in the bakers shop....oh so tempting working around lots of cakes I know!
anyway I thought I would show you this card I have made for a good friend of mine. The Card base was cut from Go Create's largest die and I used the other sizes to cut the layers. For the dark brown layer I drew around the outside of smallest die. Next I embossed one end of the top layer with a Craft Concepts folder and used My Hougie Board to emboss 1/2 " lines at the other to create a diamond pattern. I distressed with Vintage Photo around the edges to create a nostalgic feel.

I cut 3 layers of each size of paper flowers from Joy Craft Dies. I distressed all the pieces before assembling them, you can't quite see but I also added glamour dust to the butterflies for a bit of twinkle.
I would like to enter into some challenges

Mothers Day

Helloooo
I have not been crafting properly for a little while now as I have lost my mojo. But saying that when I have got to do a birthday card or something I always manage to to muster up some energy. So as yesterday was Mothers day I got up very early and made one for my mum and one for Hubby's. Today I will show you the one I made for my mum. I am also entering it into
Creative Inspirations #56/ Mothers day/ Mum
FabnFunky Challenge #66 Shabby Chic

As I am the middle child of three girls I thought of using my gorgeous girl stamps to create that special card for my mum. I coloured them with my Promarkers.. cut them out and assembled them on another piece of card that I had distressed with Spun Sugar ink. I also used the same ink around the patterned paper and glittered. The sentiment is one of Lynnes digis from Sentiments 4 You.
I managed to get this and another card done just before delivering them so it didn't take too long to make. Mum loves it when I make her cards and I saw a tear in her eye as she read the words inside that I had made up from my Versa printer CD.
I hope you like and get a little inspiration yourself.

Background Challenge #7

Hello Bloggers
I had a DT challenge over at DO IT WITH DIGIS using backgrounds from our dear sponsor Di's Digi Downloads. We were lucky enough to get some lovely digis and had to also use a Tilda stamp. So I created this card. Go on and enter for yourself.

I used a combo of wax pencils with odourless spirit to colour the image and background image, then used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to blend the edge of the background card.
The sentiment is from one of Lynnes ticket sets. I used Stormy Sky Distress ink to co-ordinate the colours.

I hope you like.

In2crafting Challenge

Hiya all,
I have been busy playing around with ideas for my Nestability workshop that's coming up soon and realised I needed to get my November challenge card done for the shop I work at - In2crafting - Wickford.
The challenge is a sketch and the theme is circles. If your up for a great challenge too please feel free to join in and send your card into the blog or pop in to the shop.

For the background I used a cuttlebug folder - Carmello and distressed it with Worn Lipstick. Did the same on the Large scalloped and plain circles but also added Antique Linen. I stamped the Travelling Tilda with Black Memento ink and coloured her with Promarkers. I then used my white gel pen to add dots on her dress. The sentiment is from a set from Personal impressions. The paper flowers and gems are from Design Objectives.

Cuttlebug class

It is always such fun, but tricky trying to come up with more cuttlebug cards for my classes. After much happy playing I arrived at these cards. So here are my latest workshop cards.
With this card I thought you could create anything you like to go in the middle of the nestie shape. The Craft Concept folders are great because unlike most of the Provo craft folders they have a repeat pattern allowing me to create the beautiful green background.

This is a good card to use for a mans birthday or anniversary. We used the Papermania embossing folder and a Nellies frame for the sentiment.

This one is a clean and simple card using another new embossing folder from Craft Concepts and sentiment fragment is from Crafts Too.
I hope you like. xx

July Sketch

Hello everyone today I thought I would show you a card I have made for the design team sketch over at In2crafting for the July challenge. It was my turn to choose the sketch so this is what I came up with. The papers are Basic Grey and matted with warm coloured card stocks pink and brown. I punched the band across the middle both sides with Marther Stewart edger "Hydrandga"  and stuck small glitter dots in the center of the flowers. The stamp is by Marianne and is coloured with Promarkers. I'm also entering it into a couple of challenges

Hope you hop on over to In2crafting and have a go at this challenge for yourself. xx
