#33 Boys Toys

Morning Blogland!
Well we are into the school holidays now and I expect lots of families are out and about if not already away. So some of you are probably struggling to get a minute to make cards or even enter a blog challenge!! Well thankyou to all who managed to enter our Jungle challenge over at HERE COME THE BOYS last fortnight, some lovely cards!
On to this weeks new challenge we are asking for one of your wonderful creations for a Man/ Boy with a theme of Boys Toys. This could be men with power tools, golf clubs, cars, they love their toys or little boys and the contents of their toy boxes! loads of inspiration can be found from the DT girls over on the blog. Here is my card.

 # 33 Boys Toys

I found this brilliant image on Mo's Digital Pencil " ELI" it reminds me of when my boys were little and we took them on holiday with lots of their toys...... but they just loved the cardboard boxes we got from shopping....they played in them for days!! How Cheap is that!!! lol. Anyway I used my promarkers to colour and a little Antique linen distress ink to soften edges while matting and layering with some kraft card and DP. I added 3 little card candy dots to complete. I hope you like and hop over to HERE COME THE BOYS and enter a card for your self. Good luck!

#31 Tag On a Card

Morning everyone!!!
Well we seem to have missed the worst of the rain in my little corner of Essex! a good thing too because on Friday the Olympic Torch was being brought through our town. I didn't see much as there were huge crowds lining the streets and I was supposed to be working!!! Ooops!
Anyways.. on to this fortnights challenge over at HERE COME THE BOYS
thanks to all who entered the last one and congrats to the winner...now this week we have
#31 Tag on a card

We are looking for your lovely creations using Tags!! Remember the theme also has to be for a man or boy.
I made my own tags but there are lots of cutting dies out on the market. My image is one of the Mikey designs from Charmed Craft Cards which reminds me of my nephew with the girls! I coloured it with Promarkers and added a little distress ink to soften the edges. The sentiments are from a set I have from Lily of the Valley Stamps. Check out all the other fantastic creations the DT girls have done and why not  enter yourself.... got to be in it to win it!

Well the sun is shinning at the moment which we didn't expect as the forcast is rain for the next week at least!!! But I'm not gonna complain.....just enjoy!
Last week on the 5th was my eldest sons 21st birthday and he really wanted to BBQ so under a gazebo my husband stood out and cooked burgers and bangers  in the rain and then brought them indoors where all family congregated! We still had lots of laughs.
Any way back to bisiness... So our new challenge over at HERE COME THE BOYS is

We would love to see all your wonderful ideas for Men /Boys on cards created with more than just the usual one fold. It's being sponsored by the lovely sharon of Ewe 2 can Craft. The prize is a great selection of metal charms.
Here is my DT card using a center step card, but there so many more out there that i'm sure many of you have done and if not why not have a go and enter our challenge today!. To give you a few ideas why not try Side Step card, envelope fold card, Flip flop/swing card, Tri fold card or even a never ending card. Many of these recipes and more can be found on www.splitcoaststampers.com resourses page.

The imge I used is a great new Mo Manning one called King for a Day which reminds me of the men in my house probably in most houses actually!! lol.
