Xmas Card No 3

Hi again
Here is my third card that my mum and I made.

We kept the background simple by just embossing with the Cuttlebug snowflakes folder and adding a little glitter here and there. Next we each die cut a Nestability Bauble and stamped the Magnolia. She was coloured with Promarkers and we distressed the outer edge with Antique Linen. Also stamping a small snowflake around randomly with the same ink. Not sure when i'm going to get time to make some more cards but we really did have a good time.
I hope you like it.

Christmas Card no 2

Hiya!
As I said the other day my mum and I were playing with our craft stuff and made our first three cards. Did I mention we had a giggle because if anyone Knows us, we are a pair of scatter brains togother. Anyway as promised here is our second card
With this card we coloured the Lily of the Valley Bear stamp with Promarkers and matted it on to a Square Nestability. We cut three sets of mini Pointsettias and daubered the petals with black ink, finishing the centers with punched steamens and amber gems. The background paper is from a Papermania pad.
I hope you like xx

Kick off to Christmas

Hello everyone,
Friday I invited my Mum over for a play date. It's not very often we get a chance to craft together as I'm always working or something or other. She only lives a five minute drive away and we talk on the telephone alot, even though hubby said it would be cheaper to go to her house!
Anyway we decided to make a start on our Christmas cards, I was teaching Mum some new techniques with Nestabilities. We had so much fun! and such a laugh because as the saying goes "Like Mother Like Daughter".
Here is the first card of three we managed to get done.
We stamped the magnolia and cut the circle nestability out of the same layer of one card. then we added a bit of gold glitter paper to make it look like a bauble. I hope you like it we did! I'll show you  another card later.xx

In2crafting Challenge

Hiya all,
I have been busy playing around with ideas for my Nestability workshop that's coming up soon and realised I needed to get my November challenge card done for the shop I work at - In2crafting - Wickford.
The challenge is a sketch and the theme is circles. If your up for a great challenge too please feel free to join in and send your card into the blog or pop in to the shop.

For the background I used a cuttlebug folder - Carmello and distressed it with Worn Lipstick. Did the same on the Large scalloped and plain circles but also added Antique Linen. I stamped the Travelling Tilda with Black Memento ink and coloured her with Promarkers. I then used my white gel pen to add dots on her dress. The sentiment is from a set from Personal impressions. The paper flowers and gems are from Design Objectives.

Cuttlebug class

It is always such fun, but tricky trying to come up with more cuttlebug cards for my classes. After much happy playing I arrived at these cards. So here are my latest workshop cards.
With this card I thought you could create anything you like to go in the middle of the nestie shape. The Craft Concept folders are great because unlike most of the Provo craft folders they have a repeat pattern allowing me to create the beautiful green background.

This is a good card to use for a mans birthday or anniversary. We used the Papermania embossing folder and a Nellies frame for the sentiment.

This one is a clean and simple card using another new embossing folder from Craft Concepts and sentiment fragment is from Crafts Too.
I hope you like. xx

Dads Birthday

Hiya,

It was my Dads birthday on the 26th of October so I wanted to make a quick card as you do when your always busy. So I thought the best way was to case a card that I saw on one of my favourite blogs" Lily of the Valley" I changed the papers, added a hand drawn" For Sale" sign and used embellishments that I had to hand but just had to use the same image as my Dad is like a little boy with his toy's.
What a fun card to make. I hope you like it too.

Evening all,
Another week over and I'm spent!
Thought I would share a card with you that I demoed at In2crafting a couple of weeks back using my cuttlebug, new embossing folders and spellbinders nestabilities.
I showed how you can cut a nestie shape out around a stamped image while not cutting right through the image. The new embossing folder is called "In Bloom", one of many new designs by Craft Concepts and I then embossed a double line below the pattern to complete the look. I also used a small 2  1/2 " Happy Birthday folder at the bottom then gently rubbed Vintage Photo Distress Ink over to make it all Pop!. Promarkers were used to colour the Magnolia.
Hope you like.

Gap Cards

Hi everyone
I have some more cards to show that we made on one of my previous workshops at In2crafting. All in all the class went really well I think but of course after the class people see the cards on display and say I wish I booked on that one! So the moral of that story is you never no what exciting cards you could be making so just book on!
We used a template that I designed myself using the cricut to get the basic card shape and had to cut it from A3 white card. The designer paper is from Papermania which I have just found out is a one off and discontinued so if you can get hold of it, do! The flowers are from a woodware paper punch called Cherry I think! and the sentiment is one of my good friends Lynne's Digi downloads - Sentiments4you

This card was fun because we had to punch out 4 flower clusters with a woodware punch, overlap them across the gap to give strength to the middle of the card whilst being careful not to glue the back of the card. The sentiment was from a set by Jane Gill (Woodware)

Ahhh this one was using the Papermania papers again. We die cut the butterflies with a Cuttlebug set of cut and emboss, then stamped across one of them with a script stamp, then used inks and glamour dust to make them pop. Also we used one of Lynne's sentiments punched with the 1 1/2" woodware punh to complete the card.
So these were the cards we made and I hope you enjoy seeing them.

My Baby's Birthday

Hiya all,
I thought I would share with you a card I made for my baby who has just turned 17.
It's so difficult to make cards for them as they grow bigger but right now he likes to wear designer clothes, so I thought this was appropriate.See what you think.
This is a Whiff of Joy image stamped on a nestability shape coloured with Promarkers.

But the day before was my niece Danielle's 23rd Birthday so I made her this card.
I hope you Like Hugs

Back again

Hello again,
So sorry I haven't blogged for a while. Thankyou to all you wonderful people who asked if I was ok. I think I lost my mojo for a time what with my laptop braking then balancing family with work and so on....You know what it's like. Anyway i'm trying to get my mojo back.
Here are some cards that I made for my last cuttlebug class .
With this card we cut two lattice pieces and stuck them down with double sided tape. Then filling in the open spaces with glamour dust glitter to cover the sticky bits. The green panel is single sided pearl card once embossed was sanded to make the butterflies stand out. The frame was then cut using a nestability and magnetic mat. Then magnolia in cute skirt was coloured with Promarkers, cut out and popped on with some 3D foam pads.

With this card we cut a white piece of card and embossed it. Turned the card over so the de-bossed side up and swooshed a memento ink pad across the surface to colour. Then die cut topper with nestabilities and then embossed a cuttlebug bird cage and cut out.

Lastly we cut a 7"x5" white card and embossed across the bottom. Then using the Hougie Board we embossed lines above and below also both sides of the ribbon. we then cut three small squares and embossed them.
I hope you like them.

Technical Problems!

Hello out there,
I'm having technical problems with my laptop and it's driving me mad.!!!
I have lots of cards to show but they are all stored on the laptop. The motor starts up but the screen is completely black! I have everything on that laptop even all my class research. Also I haven't got round to backing up the files. As I don't know anything about computers I'm relying on my son to sort it out but he is busy with work. So at the moment i'm on my husbands old computer. So bare with me and I'll find a way to around this problem. In the mean time at least I can still view everyone elses postings.
Speak soon

Christmas in July

Hello to you all!
I know I haven't been blogging for a while but I have still been crafting. I have made quite a few cards but haven't had time to put them on the blog but will endevour to try and catch up. Promise!  For sraters here is my card for my DT challenge over at In2crafting blog - Christmas In July

At first I was unsure if I could get in the mood for christmas as it was so hot outside, but then when I started to colour the stamped image it all began to come together. The background paper was Craft Creations Christmas Scroll and on the band across the back was brayered with one of Woodwares rollers using Versamark ink. The image (Snoesjes HM9411) was stamped with Memento black ink onto a tag I cut myself, and coloured in with Promarkers. I distressed the edges with Antique Linen and stamped some florish patterns. The Poinsettia Creatables are new dies out by Marianne Designs (LR0122) one of two dies .I used the smallest flower and cut twice then sanded the surface to make the veins pop. I also sponged a little black on the points to bring a 3D feel to the petals. Then I added two green scrolls to the flowers using a Marianne Creatable Florish Die (LR0119) one of three designs. Why not hop on over to In2crafting and have a go at this months challenge, good luck. xx

I coloured this lovely stamped image from Whiff of Joy with the Promarkers, backed it with some co-ordinating card stock and glittered paper.

This second card has been made for my eldest son as he will be 19 on Saturday, so I used this other Whiff of Joy stamp that I recently got. I cased this wonderful card design from their web site gallery as it was perfect for Perry's birthday.

I cut two square panels of acetate and joined them with a folded piece of Bazzill card stock, the front panel was embossed firstly with the snowflakes cuttlbug folder and edged with white Staz-On ink to give definition. I then used an Olly Fant clear stamp and coloured with Promarkers. I hope you Like xx

Vintage

Hi again,
second post today I am entering this card to challenge that I found

This card is one of three cards that I have made for a class at In2crafting using Distress Inks. The circle is done by spritzing inks on a craft sheet then laying card on top and heat drying. After which we add stamped images and cut out with a nestabilities die. We have done the first of three classes and it was a sucess. I hope you all like.xx
